I ran a masterclass last year which, I think, was one of the two most important classes I’ve ever run. I’ll get to the second one in a moment if you’re wondering, but the one I want to talk about today?
It was called Breaking Off a Spirit of Performance.
This was part deliverance, part activation, all Holy Spirit revelation and honestly? It was destiny restoration for every single person who attended or watched.
That’s just what happens when Jesus directs something, which often means? He extends an invitation and we get to say yes, or we get to simply continue on our way.
In this case it was a gradual evident unfolding – there needed to be an actual breaking off, for myself and for others, of what had been come into agreement with relevant to PERFORMANCE.
I’m talking performance the adjusted kind. The not-quite-in-alignment-with-your-true-assignment-yet-you-convince-yourself-it-is kind. The STRIVING instead of flowing kind. The hyped up yasssss girl with a deep deep river of exhaustion running under it kind. The ‘will I ever get to the bit where I truly just believe I get to be me and I’m also DOING it kind’.
You know the kind 😉
And it’s also the kind which leaves you sitting with this:
There’s a different and deeper way.
To be me.
To flow with who I came here to BE.
And to truly say yes to what God put inside of me.
Phewwwww, if the walking forward in that isn’t what life is all about, I don’t know what is, because you know what?
The truest way to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth is to say yes to the life He GAVE us life for. That is literally the plan! Here and beyond.
So.
If you haven’t already.
Wouldn’t TODAY be the time to fire death shots at that pedestal of performance you’re clinging to like a sinking ship without realising there’s freedom in the waters where you LET GO AND LET GOD FLOW?
It’s a declaration.
A decree.
And an agreement with who God made you to be.
Oh and that other most amazing class I think I’ve ever done? Commanding the Atmosphere. Which is also about saying yes to the actual freakin’ thing which should be flowing through and around you. With AUTHORITY and POWER baby, not by YOUR might or power but by the Spirit of the Lord, and for His glory.
Speaking of a different way …
