I don’t need to tell you the internet is WAY more sped up than it’s every been. And I’m not talking about your dial up speed, I’m talking about the speed with which your fearfully and wonderfully made mind is having to process the EVERYTHING-NESS of what is going on out there.
You know what actually makes it harder?
It’s not even an issue of consuming crap. Sure, we all do that when we do it. But actually the harder issue, I think, is that there is so much true BRILLIANCE out there these days.
Question is –
Is yours part of it?
The REALITY is that the more full any space gets, the more the one person who stands up and says it as it is, no holds barred, and no polishing up all perfect-like, the more that one person will stand out and their message will GO out.
‘The cream always rises’.
BUT,
we aren’t trying to be cream.
We aren’t trying to be better, or even ‘realer or more raw’, than everybody else. We aren’t trying to stand out by doing it different. Oh, so your plan is be polarising, uncut, unapologetic, just show up and start saying what’s in you to say without holding back?
YAWN.
That was a strategy to deploy 10-15 years ago if you wanted to see something work just because it was DIFFERENT.
That’s not different anymore!
