HOW DARE YOU NOT SUBMIT

How DARE you not submit?

How dare you think you can receive like that, be made well like that, financially be whole like that, walk in THAT much blessing like that and not expect for a more acceptable amount?

How dare you consider yourself favoured beyond measure?

How dare you consider you’re chosen, appointed, on ASSIGNMENT, and now?

How dare you take the love of God and decide it means LITERALLY what He said?

And how dare.

How DARE.

How DARE you not SUBMIT,

to fear and man?

To the acceptable standard.
The appropriate outcome.
The median outpouring.
Or maybe a little less,
to be safe.
And to prove,
you still know your place
and that to be worthy
you need to keep earning it.

these are some of the thoughts I realised were lurking in MY mind when I went looking for why I so readily accepted the already done work of Jesus in some areas and yet in others seemed to repeatedly be stuck on the wrong side of a Grand Canyon sized gap, believing that His blessing existed, yet also somehow believing it was far from where I was, the only way to get there was massive effort and skill, and besides, maybe He didn’t want me there anyway.

Have you ever felt that way?

Have you actually thought about it?

Or are you kinda content head just above water and continually subscribed to a story which categorically did NOT come from the Word of God, and yet somehow,

you bought it?

If you suspect the latter, below are some of the reasons you might be struggling to simply BELIEVE that because you are on this side of the cross of Jesus you are:

Already healed in all ways, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual
Supernaturally prosperous, fruitful, given increase, and also equipped and favoured to overcome and DESTROY any enemies / lies or attacks of the devil you need to overcome to take this land
Given the ability to command the atmosphere and SEE it rearrange to match God’s will
Equipped and graced to perform miracles, signs, wonders
Supernaturally gifted according to the gifts God has uniquely given YOU, but also in possession of an open invite to pursue the gifts additionally
Protected, surrounded, covered, and blessed
Led by and filled by the very Spirit of Jesus, who makes His home! in you!

If you don’t know these things, or you’re vague on the details, or you have question marks every which way, or it’s not a given that all of this occurs in and by a life yielded and founded in the Spirit, let this be a reminder to LIVE IN THE WRITTEN AND STILL BEING BREATHED IN AND THROUGH YOU WORD OF GOD. As you do, consider these lies and torments of the devil to take you off of the path of destiny. These are some of the reasons you might be struggling to let God’s word be planted in your heart and thus truly believed and RECEIVED.

Aka why you’re stuck on the wrong side of the cliff not even sure if you’re allowed over there or convinced you need to do some massive demonstration to prove how willing you were to do what it takes, sweat it out, battle til exhausted, and maybe THEN you can have what God already gave you.

Shame (I don’t deserve, I have to pay penance, I need to clean up my own mess)
Pride (I can do it myself, I should do it myself, I’m fine)
False humility (also pride, ‘I don’t need to expect / little old me is fine’)
Fear of man (people will think some kind of way about me, assume my motives are wrong or I’m in the flesh)
Self sufficiency (I SHOULD be capable, and it’s RIGHT to take care of myself)
Lack of sonship / daughtership, i.e. identity issues (I’m not worthy, my worth is in my performance)
Egypt / bondage / slave mindset (the torment of the world and a life which is full of striving is more real than the promises and truth of Jesus on the cross and what God says about you)
Plain unbelief (did God really say / does it really mean what He said / does it really apply to me?)

Oh, I could go on!

For me the one which really HIT me on a particular area was fear of man, and I’d say there was a pretty hearty side dish there of self-sufficiency, with a gluttonous desert of lack of daughtership.

“WHY WON’T YOU SUBMIT?”, for me, has been about fear of what people think of me if I moved like THAT in God, received like THAT, believed and expected and also became a walking testimony in THAT kind of way.

YUP, it can be pretty gnarly when you start letting the Holy Spirit show you under the hood of why you’re not seeing breakthrough, why you can’t seem to ‘get to’ what He already gave!

What’s interesting to observe is how, usually, there is at least one area where you more readily just BELIEVE what God said, and thus receive.

In my household, for example, we receive healing miracles regularly and I don’t even know if I call them miracles because it’s just what SHOULD rightly occur in God; it’s not unexpected!

No part of me, or my kids, since they learned from me, thinks it is in any way out of line to expect anything other than the FULLNESS of God’s salvation in the fact that we ARE already healed, and we expect to be at a standard of excellence, with immediacy, in this area!

Whereas I know people who expect just … less.

A half healing, if you will? As though it’s wrong, greedy, selfish, or just too extreme to know that when God said it’s DONE, it is done.

Gorgeous, do you know God said ALL of the things I wrote above are done in Him for you as His child ALREADY?!

Or can you just not wrap your head around that right now?

And if it’s the latter, even a LITTLE bit, do you know you need to get up and activate your faith and your voice to INSIST on gettin’ hold of what God already gave you?

You have to alligator wrestle your own soul into submission to TRUTH which is FREEDOM!

From experience I can tell you that that’s not easy! The whole point is you’ve been letting the devil run your mindset AND your voice, and He’s not letting of without some definite and INSISTENT resistance. BUT HE WILL LET GO.

So where do you today need to get up and FIGHT for your freedom, FIGHT for what Jesus already did for you, SUBDUE fear and your own thoughts into order, and DECREE THAT THIS IS THE DAY OF THE FAVOUR OF THE LORD BECAUSE YOU SAID IT AND BELIEVED IT, AND THE SEEING IT BIT CAN AND WILL CATCH UP?!

I can tell you I have ALREADY had this battle out in more than one area of my life, and there is not a SINGLE TIME I HAVE NOT HAD TOTAL VICTORY.

Sometimes it took a few days.
Sometimes minutes.
Sometimes weeks.
And sometimes over a year.

The longer times weren’t ’cause God was held up, or considering my case! IT WAS ALREADY STAMPED ‘APPROVED’ BEFORE I BEGAN IT.

Yours too gorg. You gotta know this.

When it took longer, when it takes longer, it’s usually because sometimes we just listen to the lie or the fear or the doubt longer.

My love, THIS IS WHY WE HAVE THE WORD OF GOD, AND THE NAME OF JESUS, WHICH SPEAKS ABOVE EVERY OTHER.

But,

God won’t FORCE you to believe or receive.

He won’t FORCE you to be a walking testimony of the fullness of what Jesus did.

You can fly that flag half mast if you want … if that’s even a thing.

Walk around broken, struggling, striving, hurting, bleeding, in lack and fear, dying.

And convince yourself that that’s what it is to be a follower of Jesus?

Honestly that is AWFUL. It’s also HERETICAL. And it’s also TRAGIC, because what are you NOT able to walk forward in which God has given you to carry, who are you NOT able to speak life into because you won’t believe in the life He gave YOU?

Here is the truth:

You have NO more time left to live anything other than the life God brought you here to live.

It feels too hard to overcome fear, doubt, resistance, and what everybody else thinks or what you thought you had to be?

JESUS ALREADY WON THAT FOR YOU.

Now get to walkin’ it out.

We don’t need more limp-minded believers who accept what Jesus did for them after death but not before.

It’s a funny thing to look back on, because in many ways I truly felt like I was SO on purpose, flying high, and it was where I wanted to be!

What I will say about that is our gifts are our gifts, and using them with the wrong spirit behind them will still give a SENSE of right alignment, AND –

PRAISE GOD HE DOES LIFT EVERY VEIL OF DECEPTION TO REVEAL THE COUNTERFEIT WHEN WE TRULY SEEK TRUTH. Phew.

Here is what I have found quite difficult, yet also most exciting, to unlearn and be renewed in.

My lens, my outlook, is no longer what I do, what I create, how prolific I am, or whether or not I am consistent to YOU.

It is did I seek and find the Lord and His fresh oil today, and am I being consistent to HIM?

Out of that overflow and ONLY out of it,

can I write.
Speak.
Create.
Or even BE anything for or to ANY person in my life, oh and ALSO,

out of that overflow flows EVERYTHING which is already GIVEN to me in Him and there was NEVER A CHASM FOR ME TO CROSS.

My love,

some of us are truly called to be messengers of the Lord in whatever we do.

We are His vessel and His voice.

But we are no longer meant to be continually concerning ourselves with showing UP as that vessel and voice.

The measurement is no longer what you produce, how you perform, or whether you did what you had to do to attain, prove, or keep, significance.

For me it is just WEIRD to not drop into creating, writing, producing, imparting, in every spare moment or breath.

I built a multi-million dollar business, proudly, in pockets of time!

I learned how to always be on without every being on, meaning … I made it part of who I was to PRODUCE PRODUCE PRODUCE.

Like I said,
I loved it.
And I believed it was right.
What I was born for!

But there was always an unease.

I often tried to figure out what was off, what I was missing.

I found it infuriating, to be honest! Because I KNEW I was born for this.

But the bit I was missing, ALWAYS, was the foundation was and only ever could be JESUS JESUS JESUS. Oh, how I LOVE the Name of Jesus, what a sweet sweet sound it is and is ever more growing to be in me.

And in Him I have learned that what i am TRULY here for, OG design not counterfeit version, is to REST in Him, find my BEING in Him, because my LIFE is in Him and only when I AM so far into Him that the ‘flesh and who I thought I had to be to be enough’ bit once again was subdued,

can I even begin to be,

for you.
For my work, which is nothing but death on a page if it’s not from His Spirit,
and for the revelation He causes me to receive and also BE that our lives in EVERY way truly are to and through and for and from Him.
