God is going to cause the unfolding, and the provision bit REALLY doesn’t matter.

I love the verse in Isaiah 60, it’s verse 22, which says “I the Lord will hasten it in its time”.

God is talking about bringing His people out of darkness and turmoil and into a land where they carry His everlasting light, where they inherit the land, where His COVENANT promises are manifest and bam – ! The new thing has come.

I added the bam myself, but that is definitely the vibe and you know what? It so OFTEN is the vibe in God, because He truly is a God of suddenly.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had quite a few very uncomfortable and confronting suddenlies over the past few years as God has led me out of counterfeit identity and the building of my own never-quite-there-or-at-rest kingdom and into RIGHT alignment and assignment in Him.

Bam! All of a sudden I realised everything I was being and doing was done and I had to just stop.

Bam! I prayed my business and life over to Him, said ‘take what needs taking, break what needs breaking, shake what CAN be shaken, and wake your right spirit in me, and so, erm … He did. And it was PAINFUL. Costly? Yep, but nothing like the cost I’d been paying of not being all in on who He made me to be.

Bam! We long for the new, we look to perceive it, we fix our eyes on Him and believe for it, and say what now? WILDERNESS season? HIDDEN season? For this long? Help!

Ha.

I LOVE all of this, honestly. And I could go on. Girllllllll I thought when I came back to God that because I was a quick study on surrender, an ‘expert’ even, that I’d fast track through the falling off of the wrong biz / empire / life in like … 3 months? Max?

It took over 2.5 years and I am NOT saying it’s done, because we’re always being further renewed in Jesus, but it was a solid 2.5 years of being in the MUCK before that new thing truly began to FLY.

And then all of a sudden.
HE THE LORD.
HASTENED IN HIS TIMING.
Stuff I knew.
Had known.
Dreamt of.
Longed for.
Prayed on.
Was IMPRINTED with.

Yet had NO earthly clue how to actually create, not the true OG version at least, because by God did I build the best little counterfeit you ever could build, but THIS?

Was entirely a God thing.

And all I can say is He did it He did it He did it, He did what He said He would do, and He is STILL doing it even now. He did it and He’s DOING it, for you, and the things which are for you in Him?

OH, He’s gonna hasten ’em in His time and when He does? Buckle up.

Because God?

He loves to WOW us.
He loves to CARRY us.
He loves to POSITION us.
It’s for HIS glory.
And so He takes us to places that are impossible for us to get to, and so often when He does it truly just … happens.

Bam. Bam. Bam!

I felt Him say this to me this morning. After one such BAM moment in my life, which was my first return to public speaking to entrepreneurs since He truly got hold of me 3 years ago.

I was the speaker to a packed out room of entrepreneurs and leaders in business, ministry, and life, and I did precisely NO-THING to build or create or make that happen, I just gave my yes and then let God lead me.

(Which also resulted in, per usual, me saying precisely one line of what I had mused and prepped on to cover, then all Holy Spirit fire from there).

I heard Him say, as I was doing laundry at home after that, “get used to it”.

And I saw – bam! – again, that vision. Which I’ve always had. Of speaking to bigger and bigger rooms, eventually stadium sized.

Perhaps for the first time though I understood truly that I LITERALLY need to do nothing to make that happen.

But here is what else He said:

“get used to it, and it doesn’t even MATTER where the provision bit is coming from because I have ALWAYS got that covered”.

Do you know what I will never miss, pretty sure?

Making an event happen.
Making a launch happen.
Making myself into a person who can fill a room, hold the room, sustain the room, and heck, try to literally be the room either on or offline.

The truth is it was never really my jam, but I got good at it and high enough on my own supply that I thought I loved all of it!

Thing with pushing dopamine like you’re getting paid for it (ahem, which I was) is that you can go so high you’re probably medically completely off the chart and you don’t even realise for a while that the fumes have got you spinning crazy.

You are LITERALLY out of your mind.

In the mind of the world, and the devil who wants you HOOKED on the pursuit of self.

Me, what I always wanted really though, and what it was always all about really, was I just want to write. Speak. And impart the thing God has put in me for who He has put it in me for.

I believed, and even in those first years coming blazing back to God still believed, I also have to wear all the other hats and make it all happen. Even with an epic team alongside it STILL came back to me holding, sustaining, carrying, and honestly shaking it (myself!) to keep it all rolling.

But through it all He whispered.

He romanced me.

And He taught me.

How to catch His beat.

The place where all I have to do is just … be me.

Wake up. Press play. Repeat.

It’s only scary if you look through your own mind or emotions or will.

It only doesn’t make sense, that all you should have to do is walk forward in what actually burns in you, if you’re looking through your own reason.

You know?

So today let me just encourage you.

Remind you.

And call you further forward.

Into WHO YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU ARE.

That’s all.
