FUN. I just keep seeing fun and joy and laughter, and a lot of play. God wants His daughters to have a good time! Did you know we can simultaneously be operating at the forefront of the battle we are IN, submitting our everything afresh daily in holy awe and reverence to Him and letting His fire CONSUME and break free from us, while also having FUN?
I believe God wants His daughters, those He has called for THIS time to rise up as a voice for the Kingdom, to come back to the joy of creating, of writing, of messaging, of speaking, of showing up, of BEING that ‘too much’ woman who is powered by grace and lives burning, hungering also for more of Him and to be with Him, receive more of Him, let OUT more of Him.
I believe we have in many ways been taking it too SERIOUSLY. And I mean the kind of seriousness attached to religion, ritual, proper-making, or any sort of idea, which might apply to marketing as much as messaging OR ministry, of getting it right.
We have been so concerned with doing it right, getting it right, and BEING right, that we have forgotten we are favoured children of God already equipped with everything we need and desire in Him, and seated right NOW in heavenly places!
We have forgotten that God wants us to live in the joy of being HIS.
I see Him pouring out His Spirit on His leader daughters right now to break chains of heaviness and oppression which have weighed you down with an idea that it’s all on you. That you’re not doing enough. That you should be STRIVING more. And that if you don’t get it together you’re going to miss your destiny, or that God is going to be annoyed with you, or worse.
My love! Your Heavenly Father DELIGHTS in you! You are His wonderful creation. He can’t get enough of you!
Jesus came to set us FREE FREE FREE, free at last, He didn’t come to die a brutal murderous death at the hands of RELIGION so that you or I could then adhere to RELIGION – ritual – formulas – in order to somehow work or figure our way out into that place of grace.
He already GAVE us the place of grace; He IS the place of grace, and He is inside of us and us in Him!
WE ALREADY WON.
WE ARE ALREADY VICTORIOUS.
There is a serious lack of true, godly, heaven breaking out JOY on this earth right now.
There is so much EARNEST-ness.
So much “look how perfectly holy I’m being”.
The worst part is – most of those who are doing that aren’t at all trying to imply they are being more holy than anyone, they just desperately want to make sure their work and life matters, and yeah – gets attention, a result, gets seen.
No need to dance around the topic.
But you SHOULD probably be dancing ‘round the internet at times with the sheer giddy joy of being who God sent you to be!
Oh my word.
Do you know what I found on my laptop desktop just now, as I was tidying it?
I found an old screenshot I made which used to be my laptop background. Not long ago, either!
And it said –
“The hardest thing is the discipline of being fully you”.
I thought this was SO profound. An acknowledgement of how SERIOUSLY we need to take our mission here on earth, and we do, we do … but also?
WHY WOULD I DECLARE AND DECREE IT IS HARD TO BE ME?!
No wonder I’ve found it so difficult to show up this past season!
I don’t even believe that statement, discipline to what is RIGHT is not hard! Not when you compare it with the alternative, which is to not do or say yes to or be the thing, and then to have to live with it. THAT’S freaking hard!
I honestly shook my head in wonder that I would SAY let alone plaster my laptop screen with that.
The EASIEST thing is being fully you, when you simply look to Jesus and ask Him what HE wants to do through you today, oh and also believe that whatever the answer is it’s YES God, yes!
The devil wants you to believe that if you don’t show God – or others – how proper you are, how earnest, how weighted down with your work, your day, your assignment, then you must not be all in.
When the truth is that all in in the Kingdom of God means you know who you are AND whose you are and you are literally giddy with joy that it gets to be this good!
Don’t hear what I’m not saying.
I’m not making light of the fact that we choose the narrow road.
That Jesus said we will be persecuted and suffer for our faith.
That there are times when it is BONE-CRUSHINGLY hard to submit our desires, our flesh, our fears, or to walk forward in obedience.
This can all be true and it can also be true that I’ve got the joy joy, joy, joy, joy of the Lord, where? Down in my heart, where? Down in my heart! (Remember the old song?)
Because if we are saved.
And we are set free.
And we are called right now on Kingdom Assignment which is already graced from heavenly places and therefore gonna play out beyond our wildest dreams.
And we get to show up for all of it being the exact wonderful weird and wacky mix of human that God made us to be, with other epic humans who He designated to be in our lives and ours there’s …
WE SHOULD BE DANCING!
So if you’re thinking – or if I myself was thinking – Kat’s back, yay for the old flow, well, not quite!
The difference this time is this brand is ALIVE baby, alive with the love and joy and LIFE of Jesus, praise God!
I say all this to say –
