Sometimes the long and short of it is that you’re going to just have to wake up and be the person anyway.
You don’t have time and you’re going to be her ANYWAY.
You don’t know how and you’re going to be her ANYWAY.
The sky is falling in a million different tiny ways, and a couple of legitimately big ones, and you’re going to be her ANYWAY.
This was your day where you had at least SOME decent breathing room, and in your mind you were going to accomplish ALL the things and finally get on track, and now it’s halfway through and what’s even happening and you’re going to be her ANYWAY.
Every day.
EVERY single day.
Our only choice is to put one foot in front of the other and just walk this thing forward by faith, but the reality of that is we’re either walking grim-faced and weighed down by the oppression of all we think we need to do or be to be enough or to finally get some place, or?
We’re dancing light-footed and fancy free in the joy of the Lord and led by His grace EVEN WHEN THE SKY IS STILL FALLING, because we realised that the version of us we’re chasing?
Is a made up fantasy and worse, an idea of where sufficiency lies which the devil and the world dangles in front of you. A treat on a stick, but the stick just keeps moving ever further away. Dance, little puppet, dance ….
There is a different Kingdom, a different way, and also a different DANCE for today.
The dance with Jesus, where you remind yourself afresh each morning by His Spirit that you ARE her, you ARE here, this IS the day of salvation, and you get to rejoice and be glad in it now!
You also get to NOW do the simple flow of the things you’d be doing if you were her, and you were there.

What is part of the flow of HER day which you’ve been waiting on?
What would you be doing ‘if’, or ‘if only’, or ‘when’?
And what are the excuses right now? What are the very real REASONS, which are undeniably true and not even an excuse at all?
And then,
whaddya wanna do about that, hm?
You want to let this keep being your story?
I can’t, not now, not yet, not until?
It may well be true that in a previous season you had more time and space, and everything could be just so, or at least a little more just so than it is right now.
BUT NOW IS WHERE YOU’RE AT NOW.
And you can still be her now, on THIS day.
“The Lord knows the days of the righteous, and their inheritance shall last forever”.
He knows our days. Our inheritance, which includes the things we are here to do in THIS life, lasts forever!
It’s already written.
So what is it just, when it is what it is today?
Maybe it’s true that now is not the time to do or be certain things.
And maybe it’s as simple as and then she just did anyway.
