And the point is … to glorify God.

I know it’s not what many people who’ve been on this journey with me over the years want to hear, and it’s certainly not what I myself would have really even understood in the past, but the point, and I mean of all of this?

Is to glorify God.

Your work.
Your message.
Your business.
What you’re here to do.
Who you just ARE, and how you let what is in you come out through that beautiful filter, that woven supernatural tapestry, that moving, dancing, floating, flying now-you-see-it now you don’t something which IS you,
ALL of it,
is to glorify God.

I was thinking about this last week as I was walking.

About the Kingdom of heaven and specifically the bit where we are ruling and reigning on the NEW earth with Jesus.

About the fact that we will still be … building. Creating. Industrial. Visionary. Speaking and breathing life!

Yes, we will have work to do! We will be DOING!

And all of a sudden, my mind thought, “but WHY?”.

Why would we need to?

To what end?!

As quickly as that soulish part of me posed the question, my spirit whispered back (okay, it was more like a gentle push), and the answer was simple:

The point is … to glorify God.

So much of the time, even those of us who do in fact know better because we have seen and known truth, think that we should do these things because they get us some place or make us into some kind of person.

They promise to make us safe, enough, seen, elevated, and eventually, ‘there’!

Through our doing, and building, and creating, we can finally earn our right to BE, and to live the life we long for; the life we feel we are destined for!

But in the place beyond this place, why would we need to do anything in order to get? We’re literally living in our destiny already, with every need taken care of!

As.
We.
Are.
HERE.

As we are here!

Because here is the bit we PROBABLY all need to get again –

The point of ALL of it is to glorify God.

In the new earth there is no longer any this realm ‘point’ available. So the ONLY reason we are building, creating, serving, showing up, igniting fresh vision, is because in doing so we glorify God who made us.

Who made us in His image that we also would create, and speak new life into being; life He has given and is!

But that is also why we are called to do what we’re called to do here, because the very MOMENT we are saved …

We’re living in our destiny already, with all our needs taken care of!

We don’t need to create or build or lift a finger in order to GET, or in order to BE.

We GET to do whatever it is God has put in us because in Him we live and move and breathe and have our being, and our work is the overflow of that being through us, to see His Kingdom come ever more through this world!

But the provision and taking care of or ‘getting you there’ bit?

That’s all in Him.
ALREADY.
YES.

Here is the thing:

We need to DAILY walk out our faith by the Spirit of God to stay firm on this, and to see with eyes HE has given us rather than through our natural.

Otherwise we’ll simply look at circumstances, or any number of our own measurements, and have proof that CLEARLY we need to hustle to get, and to be.

It’s not that that evidence isn’t real.

It’s that your FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things which are NOT yet real in this realm and which WILL be as you speak / expect / live them into being.

I’m talking about evidence of what is already for you, already given, which comes from a HIGHER GOVERNANCE.

So, child of God, look higher today.

See what GOD is showing you to see today.

Consider HIM today.

And ask,

what would it look like right now to be doing it for His glory?

I promise you,

whatever you do, when you do it as unto the Lord, when it magnifies His Name, and when you believe, will be cloaked in His glory.

Do ya think that might be the exact reason the earthly results show up?

I think so.
