This is where I stumble.
Satan will tempt or cajole you into believing your identity is outside of God, convince you once more to lean on your own understanding and believe you can BE self-sufficient, persuade you it’s not SUCH a big deal to do or keep or walk forward with this one thing, shrug his shoulders with a sort of mocking disbelief at the idea that you should actually choose to FULLY obey God, steal your thoughts of peace and love and hope and goodness any chance he gets, make a case a mile long for the fact that maybe God doesn’t have a call for you after all, get you down, and dumped, depressed, checked out, filling your face with chips and chocolate and lies the world never tires of, then when he’s all said and done – (which is actually NOT a thing in THIS life) –
he will shame you for agreeing with him in the first place.
“What kind of child of God are you if you can’t even overcome problematic thoughts?!”
“You STILL haven’t done that thing you said you were gonna do!”
“You’re never going to get it together”.
“You just don’t have it in you to obey God”.
“If you were really born with a purpose, you wouldn’t still be battling THAT!”
He is so good at what he does that you don’t even notice, a lot of the time, that he was the instigator, the idea generator, the Pied Piper into despair, provided the tools for you to carry out HIS work which HE convinced you was real or the way, which HE then tears you to shreds for having even thought on in the first place!
His literal MISSION is to steal, kill, destroy. You. Yes, you personally. IT’S PERSONAL.
He is working 24/7 on a destiny plan of destruction for each of us.
He is DESPERATE to use any means possible to keep as many of Gods kids as possible lost, and to keep the ones who DO have eternal salvation still bound in this realm.
He does NOT play fair. He does NOT apologise for that. He doesn’t even give you the terms of what you’re signing up for. And he is a MASTER at convincing you that this one thing is not SUCH a big thing, and besides – #gracebaby! God doesn’t expect you to be perfect, right? But DON’T FORGET YOU SUCK BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT PERFECT.
This is an endless relentless and DEFINITE deathly loop to belay down.
There is only ONE way out, and it is not you battling, hand over fisting, or hoisting your own way up or out.
It is NOT you outsmarting the devil. He is smarter than all of us put together! And more powerful. He HATES you. He HATES humanity. He will promise ANYTHING in his kingdom with a big shiny gold ribbon queen of the internet bow on it and make it look WONDERFUL,
to get you to agree to keep going YOUR way. Or to look for healing or freedom or prosperity the WORLDS way.
OH, what a master he is!
OH, how easy it is to find yourself looking once more at the beautiful shiny seemingly oh so happy people online and thinking well maybe I SHOULD just –
manifest the world way
go try that healing thing
pull a card, plant a crystal
sage my freaking house
pop on an evil eye charm
fill your home and your mind and your children with idols
while popping God into your vocab now and again but don’t at ALL listen to what HE says about how to be in relationship with Him which is ONLY by accepting Jesus and forsaking ALL else, because hey – you’re open minded! You believe in, well … whatever is pulling you. Whatever seems to be salving you. Whatever everyone else is convinced of. In following your heart! And in the gospel of ME ME ME ME, it’s all about ME.
I’m not saying the people you look at, and align to – which you ARE doing if you’re continually looking at ’em – are fundamentally NOT happy, NOT genuinely achieving some pretty next level stuff by the worlds standards, NOT rolling in all sorts of wordly love and light.
I can tell you with certainty and from decades of experience in the upper echelons of high performerism that many are so assured of their own assuredness and way that I WISH they would have a fall to the ground broken moment to actually realise in shock where they are going before it’s too late.
“Sometimes the devil allows a person to live a life free of trouble because he doesn’t want them turning to God. Their sin is like a jail cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn’t seem to be any reason to leave. The door’s wide open. Till one day, time runs out, the door slams shut, and suddenly it’s too late”.

it WILL suddenly be too late. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
LOOK AROUND.
GUARD YOUR EYES AND YOUR MIND.
ASK THE LORD TO PUT A GUARD ON YOUR MOUTH AND ANOINT YOUR LIPS EYES AND EARS FOR HIM. (Psalm 141:3 / Psalm 101:3 / Philippians 4:8).
Look around.
The internet, and likely a lot of the places you are looking, consuming, being filled by, idolising, seeking … is filled with beautiful. Beautiful. BEAUTIFUL. And seemingly incredibly bountiful lives which are in fact jail cells. And every day people are settling themselves down ever more comfy-like in those jail cells because gorgeous there is SO much to pursue and want and long for and crave and worship and ALMOST believe you are receiving from outside of God in this world.
The door is wide open.
And they are BOUND. For eternity if they do not wake up.
OH, how I weep, how His Spirit in me causes me to weep, for the lost sons and daughters whose days were written for Kingdom purposes, who have a crown beyond imagination waiting for them in the Lord, whose days and work and ways are woven together by the King of Kings, who in Him would have their EVERY right desire met beyond imagination, who in Him and Him alone have true BEING …
who are today turning a little further away from Jesus and popping another plush pillow in with the pretty people who are running satan’s kingdom with perfect skin and all the right things which are oh-so-convincing, or just whoever or whatever it is that is telling you HERE you will find satisfaction.
But sure,
let’s go with ‘it’s not that big a deal’.
When it is the MOST big of a deal of your life, and DEATHTLY serious.
WAKE UP.
WAKE UP.
WAKE UP.
I SAY WAKE UP.
WAKE UP AND SEE THE LORD.
I COMMAND EYES TO OPEN NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
CHAINS TO BREAK.
MUZZLES TO BE REMOVED BY ORDER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
AND I SPEAK THE BLOOD THE BLOOD THE BLOOD OVER EACH OF YOU.
And for those of you who know.
And who have been falling.
Once more.
For the seduction.
Of satan.
I GET it. Oh, how easily and continually I fall when I do not keep my eyes FIXED on Jesus.
I fall into self-sufficiency.
I fall into wine.
I fall into lustful thoughts.
I fall into believing maybe I’m ‘not really meant’.
I fall into apathy.
I fall into despair.
I fall into fatigue.
I fall,
wherever I look
or think.
You are not alone.
This is the human WAY.
But then.
There is Jesus.
Who cancels out ALL of it.
And gives us new life for ETERNTIY.
Starting with real life HERE.
What we have because of Him.
Which cannot be taken.
Once we have it.
Is NEW IDENTITY IN GOD.
Status as His child.
Inheritance and blessings and the FULLNESS of Jesus in us.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
The devil comes to steal, kill, destroy.
He is doing it right now.
He is smarter than you.
He will convince you.
And he will destroy you.
But gorgeous –
Do you know why that won’t happen and why it’s irrelevant? If you have faith and you profess?
GREATER IS THE SPIRIT IN YOU AS THE CHILD OF GOD WHO HAS ACCEPTED JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOUR,
THAN THE ONE IN THE WORLD.
Now here is where it’s very simple –
stop trying.
And call on the Name of Jesus,
who already won ALL of it for you.
Tell Him right now –
In the morning you will hear my voice Lord.
And in the evening I will turn to you.
Put a fresh song in me Father.
And give me the fear of you.
I want to WANT what you want.
Shape me.
Make me.
SHOW me Lord.
And if you’re not yet His child.
Call on His (Jesus) Name,
and you WILL be saved.
JESUS,
show me your salvation.
I am calling on your name.
I say YOU are Lord and Saviour in my life.
And I turn from my own way.
Either way,
