AVOIDING THE PUSH? BUT MAYBE YOU WERE BORN FOR IT!

Look, I get it. The whole ‘avoiding the push’ / I’m not supposed to do that anymore thing.

But what if you were born for it?!

So yes. The years spent pushing in the wrong way, the endless striving to DO it all the right way, the relentless hustle to win a quest you increasingly realised was never even your quest …

the counterfeit success model is for real for real, and OH so easy to drop a decade or two into. I would say especially so for the purpose driven creators, the ‘do what it takes, no matter what it takes’ 1% ers, the WIRED differently high performers who just keep performing come.what.may, even if the DIS-ease of pursuing the entirely wrong life is creeping up to near death levels.

I get it.

The MISALIGNED push was so all consuming, so eventually exhausting, so self-conscious making in many ways when you realised, also so startling, honestly, for people like you and I who truly had everyone AND their dog convinced we were the most aligned people you knew, and JUST about believed it ourselves before finally waking up,

coming back,
getting grabbed hold of, convicted, and tossed into the supernatural boxing ring,
by the Spirit of the Lord at which point we realised in shock | wow | gratitude | horror but THANK you,
just how off track it all was.

And so it made sense. Ya know?

The dialling back.
The slowing down.
The tapering off.
And even the deliberate sitting-on-hands refusal.
To keep on being HER.

In fact it was necessary.

It’s how we learned to lean on God not ourselves. To be Holy Spirit sufficient not self-sufficient. To understand we come under the order of a different realm. To gain discernment to hear and know from God. To grow in the power and authority we have in Him. To hear from Him, be led by Him, be in the DANCE with Him, of a different Kingdom,

and a different way.

And it’s also, in all of that, how we finally began to glimpse as a ‘this actually gets to happen because it’s no longer me trying to MAKE it happen’ thing,

our destiny,
and the work and walk we really came here for.

But can I tell you?

It is crrrrrazzzzy common. From what I have seen, observed, and oh, maybe also experienced, just a little, okay quite a lot,

that somewhere in there?

Maybe.
Just maybe.
You threw not only the baby out with the bathwater, but the entire bath out too, and in fact every mention that there ever even was a bath or a baby.

Meaning:

You missed the bit that God’s original design for you still included you.

A wild and outlandish suggestion, I know!

Because here’s the thing:

The fact that you had to drop the YOU way of pushing, running, creating, flowing, and living through a lens of your whole life is about what YOU decide and say yes to …

(and you did, praise God!)

DOES NOT MEAN YOU WEREN’T MADE FOR THE PUSH.

Because here’s the thing about the PUSH:

There is misaligned, self-sourced and worldly ambition fuelled push, in which you hype yourself ever higher on yourself by yourself with yourself and for yourself, and ultimately start imploding all OVER yourself no matter how ‘purposeful’ you believed it was …

And then there is the beautiful flow and fire and breathlessness WOAH of being all in in the dance God designed just for YOU, which may also happen to include the fact that you?

Were created with capacity.
With supernatural vision.
With Godly dreams and desires which SHOULD leave you breathless, and which are impossible for YOU to bring to life.
And with an outlook and also GIFTINGS,
which just don’t match either the vibe OR the pace that most everyone around you considers acceptable,
or even holy,
and right.

And here is how to know –

Are you tired? Weary? Flat-lining all over the place, and when you really pause and look under the hood of that could it be a by-product of your INSISTENCE THAT YOU DON’T GOTTA RUN LIKE THAT, FLOW LIKE THAT, CREATE LIKE THAT, POUR OUT LIKE THAT?

Are you bored? Dried up of soul? Starting to feel like maybe you don’t care, aren’t meant to care, about any of it?

COULD it be,
(just maybe!)
that it’s because you’ve become boring, dry, and lifeless, in your quest to make sure you walk some kind of tight-rope of rightness in God when in fact He MADE you to BE that outpouring.
To command the overflow,
and to see things come through your right and HIM led expectation and decree that are crazy incredible what-even-is-that and OH so far beyond the vision YOU decided it must surely be about right now!

Look.

It’s natural, if you know you built or were building a counterfeit, to actively want to ensure you don’t inadvertently do it again.

It’s also natural to want and NEED some recovery and soul healing from all of that!

But do you know what’s SUPER-natural?

Realising that it was God who made you the way you were in the first place.

Sure, you may have run circles around the whole world using and abusing it outside of Him.

That doesn’t negate His original design.

If anything it should excite and delight your spirit that now you get to see what it looks like to BE all that in His design!

And I wonder,

don’t you?

I just wonder.

Whaddya think might happen in even the next few WEEKS,
if you actually decided to just be,
who you are,
and trust that that’s a God thing.
