If you trusted God to be God and knew that you just got to be you, resting in Him and fully led and equipped BY Him –
would you continue to be anything other than all in unavailable for anything BUT the thing or things He was showing you?
If you really got that He was gonna be God regardless of the ongoing hot mess of your own humanity, and that all He asked was your belief and your ‘yes’ … knowing that all else would follow these things …
would you keep going to bed at night subscribed to the story that you couldn’t yet because you didn’t yet?
– Didn’t yet clean up your own mess
– Didn’t yet figure out the how
– Didn’t yet get to perfect
Or would you come out swinging and guns blazing with the bold Spirit He PUT in you, and actually let Him lead for once rather than continually leave Him on open because you decided it’s on you?
The truth is, and you only have to look to his Word just about anywhere to see this, God wants us to walk in authority, boldness, certainty, courage, fervour, and an EXPECTATION that we are favoured, cloaked, surrounded, set apart and on high places, led and also blessed by Him!
You can barely make it a few verses into Genesis without seeing this.
And it just keeps going.
The overwhelming message of the Bible is JESUS, and as believers we are here to reveal JESUS.
How you gon’ do that if you insist on continually revealing YOU in everything you do, by which I speak right now to a continual stubborn belief and behaviour that your circumstances are bigger than God?
Opening your Bible one day, then immediately peeping your own problems or doubt again and making this a reason why Christ can’t be seen in you!
Jesus Christ is the hope of glory! Paul says in Colossians 1:27 (and btw I didn’t even realise what this whole verse says til this second, how wild is this considering what I just wrote) “to them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”.
Wanna know who ‘them’ is? It’s us! Believers! Those who believe in Jesus, and accept Him as Lord and saviour.
(Gentiles, if you don’t know, means those who do not believe / are not in God’s family).
God has literally anointed you, yes you, let’s make it personal, as His child, to make known on this earth the riches of glory. To reveal Christ in you, the hope of glory.
I don’t see anything glorious about continuing to exalt your own problems, ways, or perpetual insistence that there are a million mountains you first gotta find and climb yourself before you can finally be who God made you to be.
Can I tell you this whole thing is soooo much simpler than what you realise. Or than what the enemy, the devil, and the world which worships him; that’s any person who doesn’t worship Jesus, wants you to think.
It is literally a matter of opt out of your own mind.
And into His.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
So let me ask you something right now:
If you knew God has you exactly where He wants you to be, and that is on Him not you, what would be the next one move He is shining a lamp at your feet onto?
And what if you just said yes?
