The way I message and also create to sell is and always has been the same, and truly?
It is the EASIEST way to possibly do any form of online business which revolves around being a person who has the things in them to share.
Namely –
let it be the actual thing which is in you.
This sounds OH so simple in theory (and it IS simple), but easy?
Not necessarily.
Think about what you’ve been posting, creating, selling, putting out there even the last few months.
If you had to guess, how much of it would you say has been in ANY way reactive to an idea of either what you think people will engage with,
or what you think will sell?
I was teaching the first masterclass of my new Brand Identity series yesterday*, and I gave this example:

Imagine there are 3 tracks.
Your aligned and true path, the one you should be walking forward on, the one of destiny if you will, is the middle path.
The one to the left is the one that pulls you off track continually with ideas of what people actually want, the derailment inherent with which is often disguised as ‘making sure what I’m doing is of value’.
And the one to the right is the one you keep hopping to in order to try and figure out or make sure what you’re doing is going to make money, more money, enough money, any kind of money!
I mean … you might have 14 other tracks pulling you side to side for all I know!
But let’s just focus on those few for now :).
In fact let’s just cut to the chase, as I REALLY don’t think this needs explaining. It’s more of a remembrance! And then a swift butt kick RIGHT where I imagine you need it.
The fast track is when you stop trying to figure out ANYTHING to do with either the ‘value’ or the ‘money’ track, and simply WALK BOLDLY FORWARD ON THE TRACK OF BEING WHO GOD CALLED YOU TO BE.
But get this –
SPECIFICALLY it’s about who God called you to be NOW. In this season. This day. And even this moment.
Meaning –
Exactly what is in you THIS moment to share with world?
What would make your heart glad to share?
What would feel like a true gift FROM God that you get to unwrap by letting it out of you?
Go read the middle chapters of Ecclesiastes if you want to know more about the gift of work God has given you, and also what sort of work is absolutely pointless! Spoiler: the pointless stuff is the stuff where you’re trying to GET some place, trying to pursue outcomes rather than pursuing God and in that,
the rightly aligned path of being who He made you to be, and letting out what’s in you!
Just feel into the EXHALE that’s in you right now when you consider what it would be like to only let out what’s actually in there.
To only do what is an extension of who He has made you to be.
And if you’re suspicious about whether it CAN be this simple, consider this –
you can’t simultaneously want an overflowing with impact and income personal brand, hinged on letting out the message that’s in you to shake the world with, and yet also expect it to be based on anything other than KEEPING IT FREAKING PERSONAL.
Aka letting it be about what is ACTUALLY in you!
What a joy it would be to know you can literally just record your videos,
write your blogs and emails,
post your stories,
and even allow through entire courses and the like,
from a place of breathing out the living breath inside of you!
AND YOU CAN GORGEOUS.
In fact I would go so far as to say you MUST.
Because isn’t it true that the gift you’ve been given, the unique way you have of seeing things, the lens you look through, and the lived experience you have that causes you to continually come back to a truth God has planted a hunger for IN you,
is also a gift for you to allow others to receive of?
There is nobody who can be the gift to the world that God made you to be.
Nobody else can fill the position.
But this does not by default mean the position WILL be filled lovely.
You have to choose.
That means you also need to be willing to forsake every path of how you might message, brand, or sell, that is not the one clearly bubbling up within you right now.
I know your mind and emotions still wants to shriek “BUT HOW WILL IT WORK AND WILL PEOPLE REALLY RESPOND AND HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE SURE THERE’S ENOUGH VALUE AND MONEYYYYYYY”, but honestly –
pull a King David and tell your soul to be quiet.
In Jesus Name.
Then hear the Lord.
He has called you for a purpose.
He has given you a perspective entirely unique to you.
And He has already signed off on partnering with you on what He has anointed you to do NOW.
All you gotta do is say yes.
