Do you realise how much time is wasted in you trying to figure out whether or not it’s okay for you to have or ask for something?
Have you considered how derailed you are from assignment when half your day – or more – is filled up with the back and forth of what the right amount for you to EXPECT is?
Have you actually stop and slapped yourself twice on each cheek to wake up back to the fact that God did not PUT you here to worry and wonder over ‘these things’?
He said: “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS will be added to you”!
Honestly, and what He’s been honing in on in me recently, this should just be you DECIDE / say yes / request / declare / decree / call the thing into being, WHATEVER it is, and be on your way on ASSIGNMENT!
There is way too much focus being given in the Christian world right now on not expecting too much.
Measured holiness, but who is in charge of measuring it?
Careful righteousness, but who gets to say where the line is?
Is it okay to expect to be in the median, with wealth, with health, with clarity, with focus, with time, with joy, with the kind of relationships you have, with vision?
Is expecting or, better still since it’s what God said, INSISTING on higher than that wrong? Means you’re materialistic? Narcissistic? Opportunistic? Falling back into idolatry of self and the world?
Okay, so answer me this:
Which country or people group are we going off of then?
‘Cause you realise that whatever the median is where YOU live and move and have your being is 98% wealthier than the rest of the world, and likely in the higher percentages with health, opportunity, lifestyle?
So why do YOU get to have that? Maybe we should move the line to a median of WORLDLY wealth, etc.
Or maybe we should stop getting distracted and derailed by a spirit of fear and condemnation which is perpetually seeking to keep us focused on ‘these things’ and what WE are allowed or should speak for, rather than simply being Kingdom and assignment focused and knowing our Father in Heaven supplies our every need, ask, requirement!
Yeah I said ask. Look into Philippians 4:19 PROPERLY, or Psalm 37:4. For starters.
“Oh oh, but but but, this or that it doesn’t mean just having what you WANT!”
Stop it.
Either you’re yielded to God and your delight truly IS in Him, your heart posture for Him, your daily decision and decree His way, or you’re not and so sort THAT out.
But if you are then STOP FREAKING WORRYING ABOUT WHERE THE TOO MUCH LINE IS, AND EXPECT HE MEANT WHAT HE SAID WHEN HE SAID GOODNESS, FAVOUR, OVERFLOW, OPEN FLOODGATES, BLESSING, WEALTH WITHOUT SORRY, SUPERNATURAL POWER AND ABUNDANCE IN ALL THINGS.
INCLUDING in and of this realm and what is available here!
STOP it.
Where are the men and women of God who know it’s only money honey, the amount you choose, same as with the standard of health and wellbeing or ANY of these things doesn’t say JACK about your righteousness or what you’re seeking first, the thing which indicates your righteousness is your salvation and the thing that indicates what you’re seeking first is what you’re seeking first!
Everything else is just WHATEVER. Choose it, don’t choose it, be on your way on ASSIGNMENT.
You think God is sitting there cutting back on soup in the kitchen of Heaven because you flew first class, bought the bag, believed for and received the new car, GAVE AWAY MILLIONS??
Speaking of overflow …
why not just expect MORE so it can pass THROUGH you.
“Oh oh oh but but but idolatry”.
STOP it.
We KNOW.
And YOU either know and have dealt with that in God, or it’s being dealt with but expecting MORE – again, in any area – is not finitely idolatry! It COULD also be – and rightly IS – you just believed God that you’re His favoured kid fully equipped to be on assignment, and you MOSIED ON YOUR WAY ON SAID ASSIGNMENT, receiving / decreeing / expecting / praying on whatever God plopped in your vision and you stopped QUESTIONING that stuff and obsessing over whether it’s a right idea!
It’s ridiculous.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
You know what would be cool?
People who knew who they are and whose they are and who simply expected this realm to come into right order according to vision they receive as they live their life looking to the Lord and DID NOT MAKE UP LINES AS TO WHAT EARTHLY STUFF MEANS THEY MUST BE SELF OR WORLDLY NEXT LEVEL FOCUSED.
In many cultures you expecting ANY kind of available healthcare or ANY kind of consistent food is a focus that puts you in the 1%.
It’s only stuff.
It doesn’t MATTER.
If you have vision or desire for it and you DON’T have a Holy Spirit discernment that it’s a no, and your life IS one of seeking God, assume the yes and be on your way.
We hold this stuff lightly yeah? He will SHOW you if you missed it.
More likely you’re missing assignment right now because you’re trying to make sure you walk the line right.
And speaking of ‘all these things’.
Where are they in your life, hm? The word says if you seek Him first they WILL be added to you.
So I’d get to expecting ’em to be added, and, in case it wasn’t clear, STOP TRYING TO ASSESS BY THE WORLD AROUND YOU WHICH ONES ARE APPROPRIATE TO ADD.
The answer is all of ’em gorgeous.
All of ’em.
Whatever that means within what He gave YOU eyes to see.
That’s what I have to say about that.
