Do you ever stop and actually take stock of how exhausting it is to dangle in the in-between place, the place where your message of power and truth and fire and WOAH is known … but just not to anybody but you, because YOU haven’t dared yet to go all in and unleash it?
The truth is it’s not even really known to YOU.
You have NO idea the fire and flow and what-even-just-happened God would pour through and outta you, hot burning embers from heaven searing through every block, hindrance, old man trying to resurrect itself, condemning and lying and serpent voice of satan trying to form against you, if ONLY,
you’d let Him.
But oh, no! Not today! Today I’m not sure, today I need to check myself and get on track with money things, today I need to think and figure out what will hook ’em things, today I need to pull up my socks and be a PROPER entrepreneur. Leader. Pastor. Woman. Mother. Friend.
I don’t have time,
to wait on God.
I’m much too scared,
to let go and get God.
And besides,
it’s so much easier (you know?) to once again produce. Preach. Create. Pour forth. Or share. Something … palatable. Readily received. Commonly acceptable. And known.
And so here you find yourself, once more, and still,
dangling in the in-between place.
Not submitted to Holy Spirit fire and breath burning through and from you, and the ANOINTED message of Christ for you to impart released through your lips,
but also not quite wanting to admit that the way you have chosen,
is the safe. Tidy. Proper. Quiet. What people expect or what appears to meet your earthly needs way.
The latter of which is really to say, what meets your earthly FEARS. Since your needs are met by God.
Of course it’s not really an in-between place at all, is it?
It’s a nothing place, a horror of a place, a travesty and devastation of a place.
It’s a place where you work your butt off, you strive and you stretch, you repeatedly rob areas of your life where your time and focus and stillness should go, in order to pay the never satisfied and absolutely demonic spirits of self-sufficiency and exaltation, unbelief, rebellion, and whatever else you’ve got thrown in there which says that if you ONLY
push harder
try better
be more RIGHT
it will work. You will work. You’ll be safe. And then you can be free.
But gorgeous, some of us, some of us, some of us, by which I mean ALL of us, but right now SOME of us really need to hear this –
were made to BURN.
To BURN at the altar at the feet of Jesus as we once again lay down EVERYTHING, give Him EVERYTHING, and say ‘less of me Lord and more of you, wait NONE of me and ALL of you’!
Don’t you see?
When His light is burning so fully and brilliantly in you, with daily fresh oil and a lamp which never goes out, embers from heaven falling continually as you CARRY the fire you were made to be …
THAT IS A MESSAGE WE’D CALL MAGNETIC.
And at this point it really shouldn’t be ABOUT that, no?
At this point we should be DONE with that, no?
At this point we need to LAY DOWN THE IDOL OF BEING SEEN, HAVING A MESSAGE WHICH IS KNOWN, BEING GOOD ENOUGH OR ON IT ENOUGH TO FINALLY BE ‘THAT GIRL’.
Or whatever it is for you.
HE will do it, for HIS sake.
Can you walk as the burning lamp of Jesus and have a message which is spread across the nations, and stewards beyond comprehension resources for the Kingdom, of COURSE!
Can you do it while YOU are still looking to be enough? OF COURSE NOT. Of course not.
You need to give over it ALL.
And let Him be the one who directs it ALL.
Fully surrendered to whatever that might end up being, which could be well different to what you think!
And then there is this –
Isn’t the whole entire point of the whole entire thing of why you’ve spent your whole entire life trying to finally get to where you know that you know that you KNOW you’re being and expressing what you’re here for?
And isn’t the whole entire truth of that that YOU CAN’T DO THAT?
You can’t do that gorgeous.
Me either.
I KNOW how you long to burn. I KNOW how you long to be BURNT ALIVE DAILY with a living word flowing through and from you, timeless beyond all ages. I know how you long to live as a vessel AFLAME.
It’s all I ever wanted too.

And maybe,
just maybe,
today is the day you finally
admit it
JESUS! I WANT TO BURN FOR YOU. MAKE me,
your message.
MAKE me,
your walking decree.
MAKE me,
your living word ENACTED
in this place
You can keep running, if you like. Try and get yourself there, if you like. Find a way to balance being who you think you are, and who He SAYS you are, all the while never really meeting that last because you refuse to go fully INTO Him, but there’s just one teensy problem with all of that:
The only place to find and become a torrent of living water,
is in the living water
and HE IS THAT LIVING WATER

it’s time to quit the in-between place. Truthfully, it NEVER looked good on you.
And I’m quite certain it doesn’t feel it either.
